Jessie Westwood, Director of Studio Sorores, was invited to attend an event hosted by London luxury caterer Social Pantry, with a private view of the exhibition Yevonde: Life in Colour at the National Portrait Gallery.

After being treated to cocktails and canapes, we were able to wander around the gallery at leasure before being seated for a showcase of Social Pantry's new Autumn/Winter 2023 menu.

It was a delightful evening, not only was it a pleasure to be able to enjoy a provate exhibition evening and taste the most incredible food, but also highly enjoyable meeting lots of new business leaders in hospitality alongside our good friends and colleagues we have known and worked with

for years. You can see the full description of the menu, drinks pairings and suppliers involved below. Social Pantry is dedicated to working with progressive, regenerative and like minded businesses who support their events using the very best local and seasonal ingredients. This menu used foraged mushrooms from The Wild Room, and ultra-traceable venison from The Ethical Butcher who works alongside Packington Estate. Autumnal seasonal ingredients included pears, barberries, celeriac, figs, Jerusalem artichokes and mushrooms. I am proud to work with Social Pantry given their commitment to zero waste too - for example they will use celeriac throughout a dish from crisps to gratin, and cut offs from mushrooms used to make a fabulous mushroom ketchup.
