A DECADE OF LOVE - 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY IN 2020
Next year is a big year for us here at Studio Sorores. It marks the 10th anniversary of our launch into the wedding & event industry. Back in 2010 Jessie decided to start working freelance in PR while setting up her own independent party planning business in the Cotswolds, and just a couple of years later her younger sister Georgia graduated in Interior Architecture before launching her own career into set design and large scale event floristry. Individually we went from strength to strength - with Jessie becoming one of the first design led leading planners in the UK with mentoring and workshops running every year and an impressive list of editorial features and awards under her belt. Georgia paved the way in the UK for "fine art" and more organic free form flower arrangements and installations created from a place of artistic integrity and outside the confines of traditional floristry.
Fast forward to 2017 and along came the merger of Jessie & Georgia's respective businesses into one full service creative hub with the new name Studio Sorores (we chose it from the latin word "Soror" meaning sisters). It meant a new website, a new brand, new social media channels and a huge shift in the way we worked collaboratively under one roof.

As we approach 2020 and the new year, we thought it would be nice to celebrate our achievements, look back at what we have learnt, and raise our glasses to all the amazing clients, artists, freelancers and suppliers who have supported us along the way. Without you we just couldn't do what we do.
10 years = 521 weeks, or 87,672 hours, or 5,260,320 minutes, or 315,619,200 seconds.
Between us we have spent over three hundred million seconds dreaming, working our socks off, creating, planning, worrying, laughing and putting every bit of ourselves into running a successful planning, design & floristry business. It's not always been easy. Every event teaches us something new. But my goodness we are so proud of ourselves. We know we push to be the very best in the UK on every level. Here is to another decade of doing it all over again... and we have some exciting plans ahead!
