FLORAL MAXIMALIST NEW YEARS EVE WEDDING IN THE COTSWOLDS

Oh how I love it when a photographer captures the moment I hand over the bouquets. It is the absolute best part of my job! This wedding was a very special one.

Charlotte & Alex had their New Years Eve wedding booked at the beautiful Elmore Court in The Cotswolds and asked us to come on board with styling and floral design. The overall design was very important to them and they had so many unique and creative ideas, it was incredibly fun to collaborate with them both. We were inspired by a floral print table cloth in pink, with hues of burgundy, lilac and apricot. This enabled me to be really experimental with the floral colour palette as we worked with the Floral Maximalism theme.

We created clusters of flowers along the length of the tables, creating an extension of the table linen. Apricot tapered candles matched with the napkins, creating a bright contrast against tones of pink, lilac and burgundy. There were bespoke crackers for each guest containing bubbles, personalised jokes and drink tokens for espresso martini's served from a food truck later in the evening. It was certainly a wedding worthy of a New Years Eve celebration!

Charlotte combined her beautifully embroidered Hermione De Paula dress with chunky burgundy velvet heels and her bridesmaids chose their own dresses in shades of blush, rust and silver. Swoon!

Their bouquets were kept neat but full of character. We used bi-colour anemones, ranunculus, silver, blush and apricot roses, pink rice flower and peach lisianthus, finished off with a rust/mustard toned silk ribbon.

What a way to finish 2018!
