Christmas at Cornwell Manor in The Cotswolds

The festive season in the Cotswolds offers a unique charm, and Cornwell Manor stands out as a perfect place to celebrate Christmas in style. This year, the manor has teamed up with local wedding and party vendors to host a special Christmas wreath-making event. It was an opportunity to create something beautiful, enjoy the spirit of the season, and connect with the community in a stunning setting.

Cornwell Manor has long been a quiet magnet for notable guests. Over the decades it has welcomed everyone from members of the Royal Family to internationally recognised actors, musicians and creatives. Its grounds have appeared on screen - most famously when Jude Law and Cameron Diaz shared a winter scene by the fountain in The Holiday (a firm seasonal favourite film for Christmas too!). During the summer months, filming pauses and the estate returns entirely to its role as a private sanctuary for milestone celebrations, drawing an eclectic list of distinguished visitors who favour its privacy, charm and timeless English setting.

The team at Cornwell Manor used a fun festive event to bring together expert florists, decorators, and party planners from the Cotswolds - those local businesses that work at this popular wedding event venue all year round. Our founder Jessie Westwood attended and enjoyed hands-on experience crafting her own wreaths using natural materials under the careful guidance of Clare at Clementine Moon. Christmas wreaths have long been a symbol of welcome and celebration so it was a lovely way to bring everyone together in a collaboration that highlighted the best of local talent and sustainable practices. Instead of mass-produced decorations, guests worked with fresh greenery, berries, pinecones, and other natural elements. The result is that everyone left with a wreath that not only looks beautiful but also carries the essence of the Cotswolds’ winter landscape.
